National Gas and Bharat Petroleum revolutionizing the Cutting Gas industry in the Sultanate.
Mr.K.K Gupta, Executive Director- LPG and Mr.S.C.Gupta, Deputy General Manager-Strategic Planning-LPG from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) travelled to the Sultanate of Oman to discuss how the two companies could continue to harness the success of their path breaking cutting solution Bharat Metal Cutting Gas (BMCG), and replicate the same in other avenues of common interest that would add value to the citizens of the Sultanate.
The delegate visited National Gas facilities at Rusayl, as well as met with some key customers to get their valuable feedback on the effectiveness of this unique product that has replaced Acetylene as a safe, efficient and cost effective alternative.
Mr.K.K.Gupta was very appreciative of the efforts put in by National Gas to promote BMCG in the Sultanate of Oman and was pleased that the customer feedback reflected National Gas’ commitment to ensure high levels of service for clients. He reposed confidence in the further growth of BMCG in the market as more and more end users conduct trials and experience the benefits of the changeover from Acetylene.
Traditionally cutting of metal/sheets has always been done using the Oxy-Acetylene mixture. Acetylene is expensive and not easily available. BMCG offers unmatched economy. It cuts faster while consuming less oxygen compared to Acetylene, which means less overall cost per unit length of cutting surface thereby giving an overall economy of 30-40%. In industries where safety of employees is paramount, BMCG is an ideal choice. BMCG is non-toxic, non-injurious and has no torch backfire or dangerous by-products. Since its flame is less luminous, it’s not harmful to eyesight. In case of a leak, BMCG can be detected easily because of its unique pungent smell. Internationally, the product has been approved by one of the leaders in Oxy-Fuel Cutting & Welding Equipment Manufacturers M/s MESSERS, Germany.
